Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 September 2026

1. What Duella is

Duella is a platform where care workers in the UK can build a professional profile — career history, skills, qualifications and recognition from others — and employers can search for and invite candidates to apply. Some information on a profile can be verified either by a past employer or manager, or, where no employer confirmation is available, by Duella directly reviewing an uploaded certificate.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Workers must be legally entitled to work in the roles they present themselves as qualified for; employers must be genuine organisations with a legitimate reason to search for and contact care workers.

3. Verification is not a guarantee

A “Verified” badge means a named individual confirmed a specific claim, or that Duella reviewed a submitted certificate — it is not a criminal records check (DBS), a right-to-work check, or a substitute for an employer's own safer-recruitment and due-diligence obligations. Employers remain responsible for carrying out their own checks before hiring.

4. Acceptable use

Don't submit false employment history, qualifications, or verification requests; don't use another person's identity or documents; don't use the platform to harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent yourself to another user. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload (your profile details, certificates, messages), and you're responsible for having the right to share it. By using Duella you allow us to display it to the people the platform is designed to show it to (e.g. employers you're discoverable to, or someone you've sent a verification link).

6. Liability

Duella is provided “as is” while in active development. We don't guarantee the platform will always be available, error-free, or that any particular outcome (a job offer, a successful hire) will result from using it.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Continuing to use Duella after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact details provided on the platform.
